Camel Zippo
Over the years, the Camel Zippo lighters have been in production to commemorate the iconic cigarette brand Camel. This seems only appropriate since Zippo’s core products are lighters, which are generally considered to be the partner of the cigarette.

Camel Zippo lighters have come out with hundreds of designs, most of which have been associated with various Camel Cigarettes’ events and advertising. Some have been used to partner with the Camel Trophy Competition and the Camel Pool League.
Most items in this collection are no longer readily available in the regular shops and online stores. These funky pieces of memorabilia are now specialty Zippo lighters and traded or bought as a collection item and not just as a mere lighter.
The earlier designs of Camel lighters cannot be directly bought by money. Rather, they can be purchased using the C-note, a yellow piece of paper found in Camel cigarette packs. They were considered to be the “currency” used to buy the Camel-inspired Zippo lighters.
Many collectors and enthusiasts have attempted to compile all the Camel designs that Zippo came out with. The most notable of all was R.J. Reynolds. His complete work can be found in the guide-book “Camel Zippo Collectors’ Guides”. Other popular guides were written by Brian Sipes and Len Shorter. A number of websites are also dedicated to the discussion of and display of the many models brought out by Zippo.
Because of the renowned place of Camel cigarettes in pop culture, these Camel Zippo lighters are treated more as collection items and important pieces of history.
